Under the Code, when a person with a disability needs accommodation, there is a duty to accommodate This Volunteer Handbook describes some of the steps that Baycrest is taking to comply with Ontario's accessibility laws. • Baycrest is committed to giving people with disabilities the opportunity to access its goods and services • Baycrest is committed to providing accessible formats and communication supports upon request. Alternatives to standard print are often referred to as accessible formats. Ways to help communication between people are referred to as communication supports • People with disabilities have the right to use their own personal assistive devices while a ccessing goods or services provided by Baycrest • A number of assistive devices are available at Baycrest for use by people with disabilities.
