Accessible formats and communications supports are available upon request from Volunteer Services at ext. 2572 • At no time will a person with a disability be prevented from having access to his or her support person • Service animals are to be afforded access to all places the public is invited to on Baycrest's premises when accompanying their human partners (with the exception of food preparation areas). A person with a disability is not to be separated from his or her service animal. Do not touch or speak to service animals – they are working and have to pay attention at all times General tips on providing service to people with disabilities: • If you are not sure what t o do, ask the person "May I help you?" People with disabilities know if they need help and how you can provide it • Speak directly to the person with a disability, not to his or her support person or companion • Make no assumptions about what type of disability or disabilities a person has • Take the time to get to know the needs of the person with a disability and focus on meeting those needs • Don't touch assistive devices, including wheelchairs, without permission • If you are interested in receiving more information, or need this information in another format, please contact at ext. 2130
