In the spring of 2016, the KL-CARE team
collaborated with the Clinical Pastoral
Education (CPE) program at Baycrest
to facilitate and present a workshop on
qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Currently, most research into the efficacy of
spiritual care in a healthcare setting is done
by those outside the profession itself, such
as nurses, doctors and social workers. By
introducing and encouraging CPE students to
engage in qualitative and quantitative research,
the KL-CARE team is paving the way for research
to develop within the profession.
