21 Circuit Training: Basics Learn how to train using proper form and technique with our gym equipment, rotating through multiple stations. This is for beginners just getting into fitness. Date(s) Day Time Sessions Sept 9 Mon 1 - 2 p.m. Weekly, flex to Dec 16 (excl. Oct 14) Stretch & Tone In this class, participants will be lying, sitting, and kneeling on the floor. We will be going through a series of stretches and movements that focus on lengthening the muscles and practicing strength exercises to help increase mobility. Oct 14) Circuit Training: Impact This full body workout alternates between using different muscle groups with minimal rest to build strength. This class will keep your heart pumping and rev up your metabolism. Date(s) Day Time Sessions Sept 4 Wed 2 - 3 p.m. Weekly, flex to Dec 18 Pilates with Props A fun and athletic approach to pilates, using props to increase intensity, variety, and muscle fatigue. True to Pilates form, there is a heavy emphasis on core, strength, alignment and posture. Date(s) Day Time Sessions Sept 16 Mon 6 - 7 p.m. Weekly, flex to Dec 9 Functional Fitness Join us for a full body workout where we focus on proper muscle activation to get the body moving as one cohesive unit and improve strength and balance. This is an intermediate level, standing exercise class (modifications can be made throughout as best as possible). Date(s) Day Time Sessions Sept 17 Tues 11 - 11:45 a.m. Weekly, flex to Dec 10 Fitness Fundamentals Join us for a muscular conditioning class that will leave you standing taller and feeling lighter. Together, we will work on core activation, posture, and balance, as well as learn important techniques to improve lifting and carrying for activities of daily living. Date(s) Day Time Sessions Sept 22 Sun 10 - 11 a.m. 8 weeks, flex to Nov 17 (excl. Oct 13) Strength for Active Aging Participants will use body weight and/or hand weights to get a full body workout. All levels of fitness are welcome. Seated variations provided for those who may need to sit for entire class or partially. Tai Chi/Qi Gong Our Tai Chi/Qi Gong programs are tailored to the different needs of the group. Through a series of slow, gentle movements, while practicing a meditative state of mind and purposeful breathing, participants will experience the maximum benefit of movement while limiting wear and tear to their body.
