9 Pen & Ink Drawing Explore pen and ink techniques ranging from loose and scribbly to very precise. Participants will use fine markers and dip pens to draw a variety of subject matter. Oct 18) Line & Wash Done on watercolour paper, line and wash is a combination of pencil or ink lines, and watercolour. Watch as the lines provide the details - and the watercolour adds a splash of colour. We will explore this bold technique using a variety of subject matter. Beginners are welcome! Learn portrait styles and techniques, both historical and contemporary. Discuss identity, race, gender, culture and agency when using photography to define ourselves visually. Work towards creating your own portrait by the end of the course. No prior experience necessary. Learn about different brush types and uses, colour mixing, composition, and various painting techniques in a relaxed atmosphere. Followed by independent painting photos of your favourite places to paint. This class is perfect for beginners, or more experienced painters who would like dedicated painting time amongst peers.
